so, where did we leave off, dear interested reader person?
sunday. right?
sunday morning i woke up super early. i just couldn't sleep. again. i'm not sure if it was knowing that was my last day or just still unable to adjust to sleeping in france, but i was up, dressed and out the door by 6:30am. i started walking north. i wanted to see the sacre coeur r again but with far less people. i wound up in the montmartre area decided that i had a look at the sacre coeur so might as well see the rest of montmartre.
what a great idea! if you have the opportunity to travel abroad, please take my advice and just start walking somewhere and go with the natural instinct to move off the "tourist path". i saw some of the most amazing things by doing it that way.
i saw the sacre coeur (of course) and renoir's house and moulin rouge and moulin de la galette, van gogh's house and so many other things that were, um, interesting like "pig alley".
that's when i stumbled across the cemeterie montmartre. the most amazing thing.
from there i headed to see the arc de triomphe, louvre again, alexander bridge, big and small palace ... so so so many things.
by far the best experience of my life, to date. hands down.
i have SO many more pictures to upload but failed to bring my photo card to work so i will try and do that tonight provided the boy doesn't stick to me like velcro and that i can stay awake. :)
